Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith
Worth the wait? Here’s the lowdown411:
Lots of action, new characters, body parts flying, children massacred and a nice burnt alive scene. I don’t want to give much away – but the film is great. The BEST Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back. The special effects are even better this time round. The detail in Yoda’s face and his expressions are amazing!
Like all good nerds, I purchased my tickets in advance to see Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. There is nothing like the experience of going to the opening of a huge movie such as this. Many people bagged on episode I and II, but I thought they were pretty good. Sure there were some lame kiddie parts – who cares? Most movies you spend ten bucks on suck so why not get a 90% great film and shut up – whiners!
I think I can safely say that this is the Star Wars movie that we were all waiting for. Star Wars grows up. Gritty, dark and a new depth of story telling sucks you right in. We all know the punch line, but I would never have suspected such a great delivery. The acting (for Star Wars) is surprisingly engrossing. Anakin is gracefully portrayed as sympathetic in this modern tragedy. George Lucas gives us an impressive slow, agonizing seduction to the dark side that sharply punctuates this series. Obi-wan and Padme’s emotional torment is effectively conveyed to the viewer. A husband lost. A brother lost.
I could go on and on. The film is great, but not for young children. 8 years and older I say. Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith rocked the casbah.
