Worlds Smallest Dreamcast

About a week ago I was buying the official Japanese Microsoft Xbox launch faceplates for the 360 over at lik-sang.com when this item caught my eye: Sega History Collection . I had seen these grab-bag type of bundles at Lik-Sang before but never felt like trying my luck. Well, I was feeling lucky because they had the faceplates in stock (unlike PlayAsia) so I added the $4.95 item to my cart.

Let me tell you I was floored to find that my lucky spin landed me a very tiny plastic Dreamcast model! Unbelieveable detail for such a small item. All pieces came neatly sealed in a plastic bag.

The unit comes with the Dreamcast console deck (with opening lid), removable modem, 2 VMUs (with removable caps), one controller and a copy of Space Channel 5 (disc/jewel case/stickers).

Not since I was 10 years old and working on a model planes have I felt that rush as I snapped the controller into port one, saddled up that modem and peeled off those perfectly aligned decals.

Finally, my creation was ready!

The company (Yujin) also makes several other Sega console miniatures including the Mark III, Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Mega-CD and Sega Saturn. I'll by trying my luck again I assure you.

Even if you are not a Sega fan this is a nice addition to any collection!

  • Nice. I just ordered one--$4.95 plus $4.00 for shipping. (prays for a Dreamcast or Master System)

  • dude! hook up a copy of the game to a real dreamcast and hide it in a cabinette or something. Than have wires leading to behind the TV. see if you can get someone to believe it is real!
