Ninja Gaiden Black Greatness

The Shame of my Pink Arm Band

I'm not going to lie to you, I got my ass handed to me playing the original XBox Ninja Gaiden. It was an odd mixture of awe and frustration. I never did get to the end of the game, but loved the breathtaking visuals and fast action along my partial journey. There never were any cheat codes released so that I could check out the ending - so pathetic.

Well, now I get a second chance... to suck or not suck. The awe-striking talent over at Team Ninja (ease up on the modders will ya!) has adjusted the claw hammer to the balls difficulty level just enough to get further into this masterpiece. Looks great as ever but with an improved camera so you can see what's going on clearer. Even if you played through the original you will still have a blast with this version.

Notables:

1.) The addition of "Mission Mode" unlocked after beating the game on "Very Hard" difficulty. Simply Awesome - 50 unique scenarios to play through.

2.) Hard mode is opened from the beginning if you have a Ninja Gaiden completed game save on your XBox.

3.) Unlockable costumes for those who like to play with dolls.

4.) $30.00!!! - hear that Sony PSP marketing jerks? This is REAL value. Screw that lame $40.00 -$50.00 6 year old port garbarge. You can pick this one up PLUS the guide for less!

5.) Nice for lame-o's like me is the "Ninja Dog" difficulty availability. If you die too many times in the same spot you are offered the ability to choose the easier (still hard though) "Ninja Dog" difficulty level. The cost? The game will ridicule you while on this wimpy setting. Enjoy your new pink arm band .

6.) New weapons like the Lunar Staff are serious kick-ass-metal.

7.) The previously downloadable-only Hurricane pack content is included.

8.) Classic Ninja Gaiden is unlocked from the get-go.

I've gotten further than I did the first time out - and I absolutely love it! This is a perfect example of game lovers making games for gamers who love games! (huh?) It's a must have addition to your collection.
