Win an E3 Zelda Twilight Princess Nintendo DS Trailer Cart!!!

12/08/2005

I thought it would be fun for the holidays to have a little contest.

Since the theme of this site has been collectables recently, the winner of the contest will receive the following item:

2005 E3 Nintendo DS Zelda Twilight Princess Trailer Cartridge and Press Folder!!!

This is a very cool item and seems to be getting harder to come by recently. Should ease the pain of yet another delay! :)

How to win: A small snippet of a larger picture is posted below. If you are the first person who can figure out and tell me (e-mail me) what is in the larger picture then you win. You need to be able to tell me exactly what is in the larger picture.

"Tacohead, uh there's...a thingy thing in there" won't do.

If you are the first person to e-mail me the correct answer then you win!

Important! e-mail entries must be sent to: iknow@lowdown411.com

If no one guesses correctly by Friday December 9th then I will post a slightly larger snippet as a 2nd clue. If still no one can figure it out - a 3rd and final clue will be posted this weekend. Good Luck!!!

And now... The first Clue!!!!

XBox Live Gamer Cards Down?

I noticed that my gamercard link was grey so I clicked on it and got a server error. I then went to Major Nelson's site to see if it was just me, but his gamer card link was grey as well.

Interesting... we'll see for how long.

***UPDATE: Well, here we are about an hour later - been playing King Kong 360. My gamer card now has the points, zone, rep stars and King Kong as the last game played. All other data, including my icon are still not there. I'm going to bed now. I expect this will be resolved by the am.

Datel PSP 4GB HDD and Extended Battery Review

So you've bought yourself a Sony PSP for $250.00 and discovered that the battery life sucks and those cool little Memory Stick Duos cost waaayy too much. Now what?

Datel has come up with a pretty cool little device that attempts to remedy these problems at the cost of adding bulk and weight to your PSP.

For about 200.00 (PSP is a sink hole) you can get yourself one.

What I liked:

- For those of you enjoying a 1.5 firmware using your fav launch program to run homebrew and emulators is a breeze.

- Hardware installation was very quick and easy

- Quality craftsmanship; durable

- Don't have to buy any more freakin Duo sticks!

What I didn't like:

- Connecting HD to PC card reader required a reboot (maybe just for me?)

- Took a long time to ship from China (okay, my fault but still pissed me off).

- Steep price to pay for Sony's poor design errors and/or greed - who is watching movies on this thing? "Honey, we'll finish watching Titanic just as soon as my PSP finishes charging up..."

- Really bulks up your PSP to weapons grade handheld.

- HD side gets very hot while battery remains cool, but doesn't taste as good as a Mc-D-LT.

Wow! Super Fast Turn-Around From Microsoft!!!

OMG!!!! Let's see, I sent my Xbox 360 in the mail last Thursday and today a brand new one was delivered to me doorstep! That's awesome service! I don't care what anyone says, Microsoft is handling the launch hardware problems with class.

More XBox Collection Pictures!

We had such a great response to the collector faceplate pix that we asked our nerdy collector if we could photograph some additional items of his.

Graciously he agreed, and although I am not much of a photographer (flash glare anyone?) I still think you will enjoy the following pictures.

These are of Xbox items, but we intend to post other console related collections in the future. If you have a collection you think warrants posting (should be interesting – not the same old stuff) please drop us a line!
